Need to know once and for all: More CPU walks on HOF?

Would LOVE some certainty on this issue. More CPU walks on HOF than All Star?

Seems that way. Can anyone confirm please??

Of course. The higher level you go the more they will try to get you out. So if you play on rookie it is almost impossible to walk because the cpu just throws meatballs every pitch. Playing on All Star or higher is the way I did my missions that required walks. Rookie and veteran for homers and doubles and such.

Still going to depend on several factors (user skill, sliders, meter vs classic, etc...) but I walk the cpu quite a bit more because if I don't try to pitch around the corners, the cpu will punish me on hof.

Not sure what you mean by CPU walks, so I'll just address both, because it's the same answer:

Yes, I believe the CPU tries to throw you more pitches out of the zone intended to make you chase, and that can lead to more walks. Of course, this can also work against you if you're not patient.

When pitching on HOF, I feel like you have to be more cautious with your pitching and intentionally aim farther away from the middle of the plate so as not to get hammered by the AI slightly buffed hitting ability. That will naturally lead to giving up more walks as a pitcher (either that, or you'll give up a ton of runs and probably not have much fun with the difficulty level)

This, right here, is why I love HOF batting.

It certainly doesn't happen every game, but there's always the potential for it if I'm patient AND I hit the CPU well enough to keep its confidence from getting too high. Then the misses start coming and the walks pile - and as you can see, they sometimes come in bunches. That's on default sliders and no - the pitchers weren't knuckleballers.

Bizarre game btw, as you can probably tell from the linescore. It's a fantasy draft franchise with the legends enabled, just something I'm messing around with to get a feel for the gameplay. Prior to this game I had just 4 walks in 4 games, so this is a crazy outlier game that's going to bring that stat (along with my hitting in general) back to the mean.

I play on Veteran and I draw plenty of walks. Already got my 100 for the mission.

If the pitcher was a knuckleballer you wouldn't have gotten any walks in the show.

In my observation this is unfortunately true. If you don't sim and let the game play out, knuckleballers tend to be among the leaders (if not leading) in the BB allowed category, consistently.

I think knuckleball in the game isn't wild enough. It's one of those pitches that you cannot command well, but isn't hard enough to control the pitch within the strike zone, and CPU tends to aim knuckler toward the center of strike zone all the time (you can also see this in the API when you let CPU catchers call the game), so the end result is very few walks allowed by knuckleballers.
