New Event: 25 and Under

So, the new event sounded really cool to me. I went to check the rewards and needless to say I will not be playing this. Last time the rewards were pretty good, but really hard to get. Now the awards are easy to get, but not worth having. Am I missing something?

The idea seems fun, but when we already have BR, what would would inspire someone to play this event? On BR you get a gold for a 9 win streak. In this event you have to play 6 inning games, and win 10 games straight just to get an 82 silver as the best reward.

Maybe there will be some sort of mission tied to the rewards? Otherwise it just does not seem like something that's worth the time.

It wouldnt show me the rewards when I looked but yeah that sounds like a big waste of time. The good 25 and under guy's prices were skyrocketing once it went up, tried to grab a few Osunas early and after 5 minute my buy now for 3500 was buried and was selling for 10k.

well the Jackie could be one of those rare first baseman cards that has speed. you never know. just like chipper jones program where you need to get stolen bases with 3rd basemen.

Yeah, tbe rewards suck and the fact it's 6 innings online sucks. The difference from BR is that it's free.

Personally, I will play one game, because I need one strikeout to kickstart Bartolo Colon player epic. And I'll make sure to lose that game so that the other player doesn't quit so my strikeout will count. And hope that the next step is something reasonable, not like Eddie Matthews which would require me to play about 50 ranked games.

One more thing - I expect this event to be completely broken and unplayable tonight, it's the tradition by now.

Won't player stats still count even if the other player quits? I know for a fact that stats count when you quit games against the CPU.

I've had a bad experience with the few online games I've played, server crapouts etc., so I'm playing it safe.
And the chances are I'll lose anyway, even if I apply myself, so I go in with low expectations from the get go.
Hopefully step 2 is not online modes again, but even if it is, at least I clear one daily mission slot.
