Bug Question for Career Mode Players

Basically since launch I have been running the same career mode with Brighton & Hove Albion. Now, after rousing success, I have decided to move on to Bayern Munich, however it seems I've run into a save-breaking bug. I cannot start any transfer process (buying or selling), I cant even look through my scouting reports for very long without the game crashing.

I've looked around online and have seen other players with similar issues. Apparently it has something to do with having used the shortlist while at your previous club. Has anyone here experienced this bug? And if so was there anything you could do to work around it?

I've started several different CMs, used the shortlist in all of them, and I've not had this problem. I'm sorry about your bad luck, but I wouldn't think it's because of the shortlist thing. If you can't get rid of the problem after restarting, etc., I'd say you'll have to restart the CM. Sorry, I know that is aggravating.

I have backup saves where I'm still at Brighton so it's not the biggest deal in the world, but yeah very frustrating. I mainly just don't understand why it's happened. I've tried a bunch of different scenarios with no luck so far. Good to know it doesn't always happen though.

I'm curious...are you using a game disk or download? I read about these bugs, and I never seem to get them. I don't buy many games, but I always download them. I wonder if disks are more susceptible to problems.

I have the disc so ya maybe. I find it really strange that I haven't been able to find many more instances of this happening. Appears to be a pretty rare bug.

I had the same issue too and went as far as upgrading to the PS4 Pro thinking my hard drive was crashing.

Just so you have some context, I had been with a successful club and what I did was apply for a new job and save before I took it so I had options to coach different teams if I wanted. My guess is that, by doing this, I created a corrupted save file and it would crash not only FIFA but other games as well. Once I deleted the save files associated to that CM, I haven't had an issue since. I should've deleted one at a time to see which was corrupted but I was fed up by that point.

What I would suggest is backing up your CM to a Zip drive and then erasing the files from your game and any backed up to see if that helps.
