Weird, effective strategies you've seen online?

What are some weird yet effective strategies you've seen people do online?

So I gave up on ut due to the item exchange fiasco and decided to try some ranked for the first time since the game launched.

One guy only threw one punch with chad mendes and back dashed waiting for me to over commit and took me down. It worked pretty good but I almost subbed him twice. He finished with gnp. I don't think I'll have the patients to do this strategy though.

What about you guys?

I'm embarrassed to admit I lost to a guy throwing literally nothing but left hands with Conor....

For some reason it just blew through all my strikes, and rocked me over and over...

Dude has super legit takedown, clinch defense though, and stuffed every attempt.

It was a while ago and I wasn't as good then, but still.... Dude beat me with nothing but a left hand.

Played a guy who did nothing but walk me down with jabs and straights with Stipe. Ended up rocking me in the 3rd and finishing me.

- Takedown to side control then deny few times and stay there for the whole round or lock on the kimura sub into a arm bar for quick easy wins.

- Minute the fight starts clinch then straight into back sitting... ppl never seem to be able to deny you if you just transition fast to backsitting then deny few times and RNC to arm bar. Easy wins.

- Anyone who has a standing guillotine choke From clinch just grab then the minute the fight starts or just wait till they throw strikes and just back dash then grab and rinse and repeat.

These are just a few...

That's actually a valid strategy that I've used on ut with 5* hendo heavy straight cross. It's very fast and has good priority over other moves so you basically keep slipping their strikes and keep landing that straight. It'll eventually break through the block and cause some real dmg lol

I like to pick Mousasi and throw nothing but jabs.
I also sometimes pick Rousey and let myself get punched in the head for the first couple minutes before clinching.
It's the only 2 times I'll ever be cought playing SIM. Not so much effectiveness though. Have to say an entire strategy around Gus's crane kick is more suiting.
