Exaggerated spin moves ending with losing yards

I play as a QB in franchise and one thing I've noticed from team to team is the exaggerated spin moves this year almost always result in the runner missing out on gaining yards and going backwards/sideways. Spin moves regularly occur when the runner could have kept going forward and picked up more yardage. Or they complete the spin move and end up going toward the sideline.

Is there a tweak to the sliders that eliminates this?

Dig into the game options and settings. There is a way to turn off the CPU-aided spins and jukes. I have done so in my setup.

He is the QB so he is not creating the spin move. This is an AI problem I see when playing the CPU as well. The guy will be running through a mack truck sized hole and if he just puts his head down and keeps running he'll pick up 10-15 yards. Instead, while in said hole, he'll spin for no apparent reason and get tackled. It's definitely annoying. Not sure how you stop it.

Agreed. Any CPU controlled ball carrier will do this...they actually stop sometimes to perform a special move and wind up losing yards even though there is a clear hole or field directly in front of them. Crazy.

Perhaps, or perhaps not. He states that he is playing QB, but the post seems to indicate that he is discussing ball carriers in general, not just when his player-controlled QB is running the ball.

I don't control any players and I quickly noticed the same issue, so I altered the settings to turn off the spin moves.

Altering the AI for CPU-controlled ball carriers might not be a simple task. Consider the reasonable possibility that the spin move is triggered by proximity to an opposing player, regardless of the presence or absence of an open running lane in front of the ball carrier.

Try editing the spin move and the juke move on the RB's before your game. Only takes a few moments and you may like the results. Give it a test then adjust to your liking. BC vision kind of determines the path that the RB takes. If you over edit, they will just run in a straight line and wont try to avoid any tackle. IMO speed backs try more moves than power backs. I could be wrong on this. It could just be my imagination. I created a power Rb with great vision and little spin and juke. He don't do much spinning, he just looks for a hole and goes. Personally I kind of like the moves but I do agree with you, they over do it and it does cause some loss of yardage sometimes.

After I play my game, I return the CPU players to there original setting. The key is finding a balance that makes you happy in setting a range. You don't want them all to play the same. Every RB is different in the NFL

This is what I was getting at. I see it all the time. I play for the steelers now and i can't get Bell to have a decent game because he's consistently running straight for defenders or doing completely unnecessary spin moves and getting tackled for losses.

Adjusting the fumble slider helps. I remember someone else posting on the forum and it worked for me, although I cant remember if it is up or down.
Give it a try, it sounds strange but I did see a difference.
