Where's Skate 4?

I'm enjoying Mark McMorris Infinite Air immensely right now and it definitely gives me Skate vibes. I was in a chat discussion about that game and someone mentioned that EA is already working on Skate 4. I've heard nothing about this, so I'm taking his statement with a grain of salt. That being said, I desperately want to see a new game. I hope EA isn't sleeping on the license because I know there's a lot of us that would love to see this return. They could do some great things with it on these consoles.

Re: Where's Skate 4?

The Berrics started a guerilla campaign against EA's Twitter using the hashtag #MAKEeaSKATEagain. I've been browsing it every so often since they launched that hashtag about 6 weeks ago, but EA has yet to respond, at least as far as I've seen.

I hope they don't take the commercial failure of Tony Hawk on this generation as a sign that a skateboarding game won't sell. Tony Hawk was not worth $60, from what I've heard, and that's what killed it (and the general lackluster reviews), not the interest in skateboarding video games.

I've played Tony Hawk. It's not really a good game, but I had fun with it. That being said, it's nowhere close to being on Skate's level. I know several people who hope this comes back also. I think it would do well.

Re: Where's Skate 4?

Man, I would love a new Skate. I miss all those extreme sports games from the PS1/PS2 days. It seemed like there were a ton of them back then. Now there's nothing.

I'm not sure why we haven't seen a new SSX. I thought the last one was done well, but could use some fleshing out and getting back to its zany roots.
