Pro AM isn't real basketball

It's hilarious watching some of these "top" teams play where all they do is turbo pass up the court over and over and exploit transition defense or zig zag with sharpshooters behind illegal screens.

There is NO incentive to run a single actual play or slow the pace of the game when inside dunks and long distance threes have a ridiculously high success rate.

Whatever pro am is, it sure doesnt resemble actual basketball, and I would be embarrassed if I was 2K and footage of this was out as they're trying to claim "e-sport" in the same breath.

It needs to be on hall of fame with way more penalty for just running the ball up over and over again.

Every time I read a title of a thread like this it makes me giggle.
Really? Playing a video game isn't real basketball.
Especially when you are playing a video game online against mostly boys between the ages of 9-15. lol
Do you really expect that it would be real basketball?

You'd be surprised at the ages of the folks who play 2K online, especially Pro-Am.

It has been 1 month since game released and they didn't fix anything. The audacity to not even fix the most basic broken feature like illegal screens is jaw dropping. Thank God BF1 came out and now I don't have to deal with this bs anymore.

Don't agree with the fast-break turboing, it is nerfed enough. The CPU guards the lane with their life against the dribbler on fast-breaks. It has gotten so bad that the cpu ALWAYS gives up deadly open transition 3's. They have added charge calls on turboers that zag in the middle & baseline. And how can you be complaining about turboers when your only threat has a broken finishing badge? The winning team is guaranteed to be the one that is shooting all those easily obtained open 3's, not the one getting fastbreak drives to the paint.

The screen portion I do agree, cpu defenders don't care about properly guarding a shooter around a screen. And illegal screens make it that much more frustrating against 3 point shooters.

But elitist here will tell you that you suck at defense. The only way to win in pro am is to spread out and bomb 3 after 3.

Re: Pro AM isn't real basketball

Yeah that is pretty much the M.O. for many top teams.

I consider myself a pretty good defender, as far as anticipating where they'll go and where I got to be. But these double screens are pretty much my death. I'll see it and know he's going to the corner, and I'll start taking my guy there, but nah, he won't move because turbo boost>you.
