i really just got doubled for 3 quarters for getting "too many" Assist. i had 0 points........

maybe i dont watch enough teams with elite PGS but i never seen a PG get doubled for just getting assist...

That's hilarious lol. I bet the defense sends someone running like 10' away from their man to double... as if the PG won't see him coming and send a pass whizzing right to the guy he just left.

I don't think it's a bad strategy just more of bad programming. For example, double teams should be random if a player is hot to keep "us" guessing. Also, double teams should come if there is a mismatch or off a ball screen.

2k was probably rushed and they knew this was a problem but said "hey lets release the game and then will fix it in patch 1.05 because it's going to take another 2 months to get the coding right."

As a big guy, getting double teamed on catch, I have a video of AI From Williams take 10 steal spam swipes before fouling me. Some games I can hold ball for more than a second before getting fouled. That is how I got all badges for post spin, had to start getting ball engaged and instantly spinning to be able to do anything.

With the constant double team and the fact that your AI teammates don't know how to clear out, I think making a Post Scorer is nearly pointless. After the first dribble, you are instantly doubled, and you have to pray that you make a successful pass out.

I am so tired of averaging three turnovers a game off of this crap.

I don't see the value in it if we still get team points off the double. You still have 1 of 5 players going off on you and against the double team you are leaving this next guy wide open for a highly uncontested opportunity.

I liked how double teaming was in 15. It at least played our better than 16 and 17 and I played 15 on HOF. I'd have to play it again to remember accurately what worked well in 15 for double team interactions.

At any rate, it's AI.. I don't know what feeling they need to have if x human controlled player is going off on them lol let it be. If the double team is not prevailing in a good cause then just junk the strategy in the trash and hold that L.. these bots gotta learn to better adjust lol
