Taking over the 405 - Central Oklahoma Bronchos (NCAA 14)

Introduction

So, I finally got round to buying NCAA 14 (Only a couple years late right) and what can I say, why did I not do it sooner? I don't think I'll be picking 12 up for a while, I don't miss the super jumping linebackers. Had a bit of time away to get to know the game and it's time to start a new dynasty and one I plan to carry on until they bring a new game out. My favourite ever dynasty was a Tulsa one I had for years and wanted to return to Oklahoma, but all the teams are too good to start with. Did some digging around, the University of Central Oklahoma looked ripe for the taking and making the move to big time football.

Strategically located in-between all 3 Oklahoma schools, with limited miles separating all the teams, I hope to create some memorable in state match-ups building the Bronchos into a force to take on the Sooners. With both the Sooners and the Cowboys representing the 405, its time for the Bronchos to take over the 405.

Dynasty House Rules

After researching into new teams into new FBS teams, recruitment and the Sun Belt it became apparent I would need some pretty good house recruiting rules to make it realistic and not use the recruiting bugs to carve out un-realistic classes. Although the difference in recruitment between the Sun Belt teams and other lower end conference has decreased dramatically over the past 5 seasons, to have a top 50 class and 4 star recruits is not realistic (There hasn't been either in the past 10 years) with Georgia Southern coming closest in 2016 with 73rd and 15th 3 star prospects on 24/7 (This was 81st and 9 3 star prospects on Scout). Most of the recruitment is done within state and those surrounding, very few are cross country recruits.

With that in mind, I'm putting the rules in place.

Recruiting Rules

As a 1-star Team:

Base Recruits allowed: Any recruit from home state (Oklahoma) - Emphasis on 1 & 2 star players and 3 star players ranked below 1,000.
80% recruits must come from Oklahoma

Bonus Recruits: Maximum Two recruits of up to 3 star from pipeline state (Texas)
Bonus Recruits: Maximum One recruit up to 3 star from neighbouring states (KS, CO, NM, AR, MO)

As a 2-star Team:

Base Recruits allowed: Any recruit from home state (Oklahoma)
65% recruits must come from Oklahoma

Bonus Recruits: Maximum Four recruits of up to 3 star from pipeline state (Texas)
Bonus Recruits: Maximum Two recruits of up to 3 star from neighbouring states (KS, CO, NM, AR, MO)

As a 3-star Team:

Base Recruits allowed: Any recruit from home state (Oklahoma)
50% recruits must come from Oklahoma

Bonus Recruits: Maximum Two recruits of up to 4 star from pipeline state (Texas)
Bonus Recruits: Maximum One recruits of up to 4 star from neighbouring states (KS, CO, NM, AR, MO)

As a 4-star Team:

Base Recruits allowed: Any recruit from home state (Oklahoma)
50% recruits must come from Oklahoma
Allowed to gain 1 more pipeline for each rating (3 star =2, 4 star = 3, 5 star 4)

Bonus Recruits: Maximum Five recruits of up to 4 star from pipeline state (Texas)
Bonus Recruits: Maximum Two recruits of up to 4 star from neighbouring states (KS, CO, NM, AR, MO)
Bonus Recruits: Maximum One recruit of 5 star ranking (not including home state)

I will update rest of the rules as the season goes along due to not playing before.

Editor Note
I made an error, I was meant to play Oklahoma at their place but must have being looking at strength of schedule by adjusting some and forgot to move it back. Next year will compensate and play an extra game on the road to make up for it.
