Patches gave 17 a Complete turn around from the release version

I posted this in the PNO thread the 1st week it was out

Blowouts were so hard to do last year , the games seemed fixed , im glad that equifier or whatever it was crap is gone

Sliding on defense seems to be no more. Im able to play stellar D again.

2k16 went south after its 1st week . It felt like i was fighting the game for control and standing on ice playing defense. And at mercy of 3 point bombers.

Last game i played last night on 17 dude resorted to bombing 3s and got washed. Also the changes to RS on D is a gamechanger this year

All in all i think the gameplay is leaps and bounds better than 15 and 16

Its like everything i posted that day has been flipped. Its almost impossible to play On Ball D now. Constant sliding , the cpu is fighting my control on Defense and shifting by itself.

And now with this last patch 3 point bombers have taken over

People arent even playing Defense , just relying on CPU Interceptions and the occasional slow layup blocks.

CPU

The 1st interception is a joke, and something like that happens 10 times a game

Had a play where i dumped it down to Horford and the ball flew to the backboard,,,,, Why are you hampering any type of paint action?

Dunks are bricking constantly. I have bricked dunks with Shawn Kemp. SHAWN KEMP Just rage quitted a brick dunk from Andre Drummond .

3s are easy but Dunks are a gamble, How is this even enjoyable?

2k knows how to make this game a great game but it seems they care too much about scrubs and 12 year olds.

No other game caters to scrubs more. i cant go on street fighter and button mash my way to victories vs vets , but im pretty sure a Kid can hop on 2k17 and compete with somebody thats played every 2k game since Dreamcast

Right now the game is unplayable for me at least i cant play scrub ball, CPU D , Launching 3s with no regards, thats not stick skill

You threw the ball right at him, is he not supposed to catch it?

Thats me playing with Utah

The CPU did that for me

Whereas if i were trying to steal that pass manually Whitey would have flinched his hands up and let the pass go right by

Which means stick skill is cancelled out and replaced more with computer manipulation.

I hear what you're saying, the CPU should be doing those soft steal animations and players should be rewarded with steals like these for playing proper defense

I wish the CPU stole more of those passes. Matter of fact a pass like that should probably be stolen 9 out 10 times.

I'm not even seeing this 3 point cheese. I'm seeing players throwing terrible passes into the paint while my AI teammates make half-assed attempts to intercept them and as a result put themselves out of position.

The interior defense is a complete joke compared to what it was at launch.

Ya on XB1 this is the biggest change for me and how yall describe it is on point. User Defense is suffering for me greatly due to the sliding and battling against force fields. I'm also experiencing more sliding on offense. This is all occurring immediately after downloading the recent patch for XB1.

Right. It's annoying. Your player feels like a truck at times and you have to fight for control. I thought it was bad last year sometimes when that happened online but it's terrible this year online and offline.
