Many of us have been playing these MMA games for a long time (I go back to the UFC on the SEGA Dreamcast). For the more recent MMA games (THQ and EA's games) there is a common theme and I would like to see if you all have noticed it as well.

They all get released with a super arcadey feel to them. By this I mean people are capable of throwing tons of hooks, spinning sh.... stuff all day... blah blah you all know what I am saying.

But then they all get updates which seem to move the game closer to a simulation than an arcade experience. This game has been no exception. So I am wondering:

1.) Have you all noticed this?
2.) Do you think this is done to attract casual players?

Well, it doesn't help that you're the type of player who spams the clinch with fighters like Anderson Silva.

Definitely agree with OP --- just hoping that UFC 3 will start MORE SIM than UFC 2 ended; then we can go from there

(I actually liked KnockOut Mode in this game and definitely think they should have similar arcade-like modes *online* in future games...perhaps with their own leaderboards even!...Ranked matches/UT/etc. need to be as Sim as possible, though.)

Yes I definitely hope they can learn from the past and just go for a more "sim" feel for the next game.

standup needs to be more technical not just repeating certified hit reaction combos and etc. sim and arcade modes for next game pls
