Pro Am Mode - getting kicked off campus Network

OK ,

Here is a strange one for all you network techies.

My son is away at College with his PS4 in his dorm.

When he plays Pro Am mode with his friends in NBA 2K17, his PS4 gets booted off the campus network followed by an automated email from their IT dept saying they detected
"bot" type activity from his dorm and they give him instructions to rebuild his PC or Mac
and then get unbanned.

He has 0 issues with any other mode or any other game online.

Any idea on what would be causing this ?

Any thing he can say when calling Campus support on what to do ?
