Help building my lineup/Team

I never really played this mode from the start in the past (or even play enough games offline/online to consider a veteran of the mode) but since i bought the Kobe gold edition of this game, i wanted to test the water in MyTeam. My squad so far (from packs):

PG: Blue Curry
SG: Danny Green
SF: Blue Lebron
PF: Anthony Davis
C: KAT

I want to build a team around some good scores and have a good post game as well. I have about 25k MT coins so far to work with, can anyone recommend me so players to help out?

Re: Help building my lineup/Team

Your team already looks fantastic. Maybe consider picking up Klay to get that dynamic duo bonus? Then maybe work on some bench pieces as you pretty much have the best in slot for each position in your starters right now, until new cards get released.

There are so many different ways you can build a team in this mode. Lots of people are trending towards stretch 4s right now, similar to the trend in the NBA. It's really up to your personal preference. There are different freelances and playbooks that can fit well with any type of lineup you want to run.

Even though i'm a Warriors fan (and love using/seeing Draymond as the "stretch 4") i like to consider my play style as a traditional starting 5. I was wondering (or is he worth it) if i should buy a player like LaMarcus Aldridge for a post player?

Like you, I traditionally like to run a 2 in offense. Last year's LA card was phenomenal, haven't used him this year. But I figure his low post fades are great.

Only thing to keep in mind is his lat quickness isn't that great and when you play online against people using Melo, KD, and Lebron at the 4, you may have some trouble staying in front on D.

Good to see another person running a traditional offense in 2K17 online

One last note, Should i start saving on some MT coins for later cards during the season (currently have 25k coins)? I come from playing FIFA Ultimate team (where newer cards would appear during the soccer/futbal season) and saving coins was essential to have a shot at buying some of those cards. Do the Same rules apply on MyTeam mode as well?

Up to you how you want to budget. Similar to in FUT, moments cards will be dropped throughout the season. They are basically your in form cards from Fifa. However, instead of having a team of the week, they will just be dropped at random after players have big games in real life.

Also, there is usually Throwback Thursday cards that get released in packs you can only purchase on Thursdays. As well, last year there were limited time theme packs featuring specific types of players, for example, DPOY (defensive player of the year), ROTY (rookie of the year), and MVP packs. I wouldn't be surprised if we see something similar again.

Usually as new cards are released they are ridiculously overpriced and then drop in price as the year progresses and newer and more shiny cards get released. Last year I bought Allen Iverson when he was released at Christmas for 550k MT. By the time playoffs came around that same card was worth maybe 40k. We all make those mistakes at least once.

Yeah, running Klay, in general, but especially in tandem with Curry is the right move. The DynDuo buffs are significant.
