Ok so from my experience this is what im seeing with the rebounding.

- Attributes, vertical and positioning seem to play more of a role than last year.

- Height still matters but not as much. Boxout and attributes are the main factors now

- Harder to get rebounds as a perimeter player. Cant just run into the paint without get bumped or boxed out

- Putbacks are awesome but not cheese. You have to time them like everything else in order to make the shot

- Tip rebounds are a bit random and seem to be based on ratings and how crowded the area is. I've noticed my PF goes for the tip if the area is congested and others are up in the air with him

- You can use swim moves or power moves to push someone out of position if they are boxing you out to improve your position

I'm currently grinding towards to Hustle Rebounder badge and Putback King badge so i'll see how much of a difference they make soon

Push left or right on the LEFT stick to try to improve your position

Love the rebounding so far

I noticed people like Drummond or prozingas will often tip ball into the hope or throw it in if they get the right spot on it

Still havnt got the timing for putbacks yet for my player. Do you just hit square/x or move the analogue or you have to press that once you go into rebound?

Just press the Square button as if you were going for a regular offensive rebound

Regular rebound would be triangle. Are you saying press square instead of triangle.

Also with your previous comment about a swim move when getting boxed out, just press left stick left or right and nothing else? I automatically press L2 so I'll have to retrain my brain.
