Madden 17 Draft Class Edit

If you are like me, you like having real draft classes. I want to hear from the community how they, or if they edit draft classes to reflect real life.

I decided to help the community who may not be as in-touch with college football or mock drafts as some people.

After hours of research on numerous sites like walterfootball, 247sports, rivals, or numerous other sites, I have made a spread sheet of what I believe the future of the NFL draft will look like.

I would like to hear from the community what they are doing as well for these classes.

What throwing styles do you use for certain QB's?

What skin tone and face do you use to get a player to resemble their real look?

What equipment do you apply to certain players?

What are you highest rated players you will edit?

How I do it is with the following steps

1. What I like to do is make an excel sheet and create draft classes by year ranking the top quarterbacks, running backs, and receiviers.

Additionally, I will make my own mock-draft of the 1st round and some 2nd/ 3rd rounders once the draft order is finalized. It will usually look something like this:

How I come up with this is I edit players by position. For example. The Bears drafted the number 1 RB named David Brown with the 4th overall pick, I went in and changed everything necessary to get him to look like Leonard Fournette, I then edited his overall to reflect what I feel Leonards' attributes would be in real life.

I would go through the entire first round, and do this with each position drafted. After that, I would go in an fill in rosters with leftovers college studs. For example, there weren't many linemen taken in the first round, so I put a stud like Roderick Johnson as a 2nd round pick for the Chargers.

After finishing the 2017 draft, I would immediately go in an start setting up the 2018 draft class. Since I do not have the draft order yet, I will make a list of the top juniors. RS sophomores that I feel will stay an extra year for the 2018 draft such as Christian McCaffrey, Deshone Kizer, or Elijah Hood. Or Of course creating some of the coveted prospects of Josh Rosen, Calvin Ridley, or Jake Browning.

The 2019/2020 class is a little trickier because obviously most of these guys have not seen much of the field in college football, or are true freshman right now. However, that doesn't stop me from trying to make the most of it. I love watching college football, and I am able to follow with players who have impressed me, or have already shown their worth. Below I have a little list that I have made just from week 1 of this season, the hype around the players, or how they were ranked by recruiting sites.

The stars indicate how impressed I was with a certain player.

However you do it, I am interested to hear the community's ideas. I am glad they added this feature to madden, and I hope they add on to this by letting us edit their build, faces, and edit them as prospects as opposed to after the draft.

Ultimately, you the USER will be the one who decides what a players' attributes are. I thought I would give you a guideline to help you out if you do not follow college football or the draft that closely.

Keep in mind to that these are my ratings and they are not written in stone. Someone may value a player a lot higher or lower than what I have. So have fun with it, and make the most of your madden draft experience.

A good tool if you want to get detailed into what kind of player they are, is to use youtube to watch some of their tape or highlights.

If enough people find this useful, I am more than willing to make lists for any other position. I can probably make HB's and WR's until 2020, but other positions (offensive line) may be a little harder to project that far out.

Re: Madden 17 Draft Class Edit

There is a way to edit the draft class beforehand but you have to uninstall the tuning updates first.
