FS/SS – any penalty for swapping?

I haven't played Madden in about six years. Is there any penalty on attributes for putting a free safety at strong safety?

Think there's an attribute penalty to awareness and play recognition for switching positions.

There is no penalty for swapping positions from what I've seen.

Will depend on the scheme setting of both positions, they use the same player types though.
