I must of done every other year so probably had 10 or 11 maddens.

1990. Madden 91 on Genesis. Bought it every year since then but I honestly don't know if I will this year. Will check back here to see reviews before I decide to.

Madden '94 on SNES was my first purchase.

Rather than answering in terms of a streak, I'll just say that there are two years in that span that I did not purchase the game (though I played both through rentals):

2000 (I was between consoles and not moved into the Playstation One generation yet, nor acquired a PC capable of gaming)

2005 (I'll let you figure this one out )
