In older 2K basketball games, the roster screen showed player portraits. See above, how we only see Curry's face? That was how every player was displayed in the game, with a portrait and a generic white shirt.

When players were traded, they kept their same face and the same generic white shirt. It was terrific because real life players always had their real picture.

Now, the past 2 years we have had action-shot pictures of players in their team uniforms - and if they are traded or change teams in MyGM we lose the picture and get a computer generated image of the player (see Damian Lillard below).

I really wish we could return to the older player portraits because they kept real players looking real, and we didn't have the ugly mix of player portraits and computer generated images on our roster screen.

I really like the way it is now. Would be better if it was optional. But I hope they keep it as is w/ players becoming computer generated.

No thanks to portrait pictures. It looks weird when you see real portraits especially during games when they don't even look like that while you are playing. Have you played NHL 16? They use real life videos of the commentators and it looks off.

I like it now but I'd rather them just leave the photos the way they are instead of replacing them with computer-generated ones.

Agree, instead of issuing a cyberface picture of them in a new jersey like he said happens in MyGM, just leave it to their real life photos. I like how it is now except for that part.

i just wish players kept their pictures even if traded to another team. the computer generated pictures are annoying. It's so weird looking through your players then seeing like 3 of them doing the same pose

I like the CPU renders. However, I would like to see more natural poses. Just have the standing strait up with their hands behind their backs. Or just got Witt the headshots we see when trading players in ML
