EA's NHL Developers Answer More Community Questions

To Our Readers,

It has come to our attention that the content of this article, which were meant to display EA's responses to community questions on their forums were altered and paraphrased by the author of this piece in a manner which did not accurately reflect what was actually said.

Obviously this is a huge problem and we have removed the piece from the site. The author in question was a long time author on OS and had produced some ********* pieces of content over the years. We have taken appropriate actions with the author as of this afternoon.

We apologize for the inaccuracies of the article to you our readers and to the folks developing NHL 17 at EA Sports. Operation Sports has a long track record of accurate reporting and reliable analysis, and that has begun with a tight editorial process which was too lax with the article in question. We will always strive to be better and this is one instance where we certainly will try our best to ensure complete accuracy in the future. This is not representative of our body of work thus far and we will ensure that this is reflective of our future.

We are excited about the 2016 Sports Gaming Release Calendar and can't wait to begin to share a new year of sports games with you all!

Sincerely,

OS Editorial Team

Excuses. Excuses. Excuses. It requires more code to do a full line celebration, but it doesn't require more code to add the many individual (some silly) celebrations. The full line get together is something done every goal. How many people are going to dab next season? No one dabs anymore.

I thought the NBC presentation and cumulative goals showing in the broadcast package was hysterical. That's just programming simple math. The look of the presentation package shouldn't have an impact on that.

so in all of these pictures they post on twitter about the beta, they're showing 3 man celebrations.

Is this in at least? Or is that from the Be a Pro mode and a cut scene?

I had to read that piece 3 times. I kept thinking I must be missing something. But nope!!! All EA's games are weak on Stat Tracking Displays during a game. That's a given. But to use the NBC upgrade as the excuse here. Come on!

Why can't we edit ratings DURING the season like in MLB the Show? That way we can update ratings without having to start a whole new season..they never seem to answer this question when submitted....

its because they will only answer the questions they want to answer. that is why you tend to always see the same questions being answered over and over and over again. the question them selves might be different in the wording but the answer will most likely be the same just different wording, which is why a lot of these community questions are just stupid and pointless.

Well, it's nice that goal tracking will be back to the presentation within franchise.
