Very few user-controlled injuries, or just lucky?

I play every inning of every game. I'm into the first week of September with the injury slider at 8. I do experience injuries, but for in-game injuries it happens to the CPU team at about a 7-1 ratio compared to my user controlled team. I think I've only had two players from my MLB team go on the DL, and only 15-day.

Personally I like to see injuries scattered throughout the year to test the depth of my team. Has anyone else experienced a similar ratio of CPU injuries to user? Or am I just getting lucky?

Dude I used to think just like you. Was late july. I had 3 DL worthy injuries all year with the slider at 6. Then in the matter of 2 games I lost my #4 Sp, SS, CP. 2 of them out for 3 months, other 3 weeks. I also play every game. Be careful what you ask for.

Re: Very few user-controlled injuries, or just lucky?

I play every inning of every game and my team has been a walking disabled list. I'm at the end of July and the following people have spent time on the disabled list:

Adam Wainwright
Carlos Martinez
Jaime Garcia
Seth Maness
Bryan Pena (60 DL - Season ending)
Brandon Moss
Kolten Wong
Randal Grichuk
Stephen Piscotty
Tommy Pham

All of this is with the injury slider set to default. As underdog13 said, be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it.

I almost always get too few injuries. I play all games with injury at 10 and my team is rarely beat up.

I get them here and there, but not a lot at once. My injury report resembles the Astros irl right now (no injuries) instead of teams like the A's with a lot of serious long term injuries.

Most regulars I had on the DL at any one time was 3. DeShields Jr out for the year, Finnegan was on and off the DL, and Sano and Schwarber alternated places on the DL.

In my carryover...pfft lucky if I have 2 guys on the DL...all year. Total.

I want it. Dealing with serious, long term injuries to key players is something organizations realistically have to deal with more often than not. I want to have to wipe my brow when I have a low injury season and say "phew got fortunate this year" instead of "ho hum another 1-injury year".

Re: Very few user-controlled injuries, or just lucky?

I play with injuries at 7, and I had in the last season:

4 minor 1-6 day injuries
1 shoulder injury (pitcher) out for season
1 hamstring tear (60 days+)
1 can't remember but it was 45 days or so before the guy came back
3 other 15 day DL's

I'm not sure how it stacks up with MLB averages but it doesn't "feel" too low.

I will say the season before I had almost no serious injuries, and I did think that was pretty unrealistic. Maybe this season I got "lucky" by having enough serious injuries to make things interesting.

Odubel Herrera just went down with a Torn ACL on a Pickoff Attempt in Game 6 of the 2016 Season with my Phillies.

I mostly play RTTS and my player went out for 4 months with 3.5 months left in the season. I've played 2 more years without injury, though.
