Official Live Event Competition Thread

Hey guys, thought I'd make a post and just inform you guys on everything going down this week and answer any questions.

I'll be editing this thread with updates and a few pictures (If that's allowed) once we get to Vegas.

Here's what I know so far -

Semi's and Finals will be a best of one (Unfortunately). Fighters used for BOTH matches will be Edgar vs Aldo.

Coin toss winner can decide if they want first fighter pick OR they take red corner and get counter perk selection (Overlapping perks are fine, but you can watch what your opponent takes and pick based on that)

We will be cornered by either Stipe or Weidman (One for each competitor)

Playing on the 'Hall of Fame Stage' at the Fan Expo on Friday, starting at 1:30 PST.


General LEC Info

LEC was an in-game tournament mode put together around two months ago. There were two qualifying events on each console, with the winners given a trip to Vegas and UFC 200 (In total, 4 people won: Myself, Zhunter90, Afro Killz, Iron Shariff)

First matchup will be Zhunter vs Afro, followed by myself and Iron_Shariff. Winners will play immediately following the semifinals.

If anyone has any questions post here and I'll do my best to keep you updated.

Best of 1 is just ridiculous. Such a long commitment and so much goes into it.

Seriously EA, if you can change this before it happens, make it a best of 5 like every other competitive video game tournament out there

I'd rather it just be Aldo/Edgar than Cormier/Jones. Whoever got Jones on the coin toss would have a huge advantage. Props to EA for fixing that.

PS4. Can use an adapter to use a XB1 controller though.

Why did you choose to do the event on the PS4 when you're primarily an XB1 guy?

Honestly I'm just curious. Do you think the PS4 community is less skilled than on XB1?
