NBA 2k16 Roster, complete with all draft picks and many more things!

Hi everyone, since the time 2k16 dropped I worked on a massive roster overhaul, re-rating every player throughout the season, keeping up with transactions, overhauling all the sigs and badges and everything. Countless hours were put into this project. A buddy of mine and I just recently completed the next part of our project, adding all of the drafted players as well as a good amount of undrafted free agents with more still being added. I am also going to keep up with free agency moves and transactions as they happen. I've gotten quite a bit of feedback and downloads from this roster but as it was only posted in our draft class forum, I figured I'd finally make a forum in the roster section for everyone to see. This roster plays very well, quite a bit better than 2k's base roster and I've received lots of feedback stating this is one of the best ones people have played with and I appreciated all feedback that is given to make this more enjoyable for my fellow basketball fans. If anyone is interested in the roster and is on PS4, it is under my PSN name, CelticsFan_03, it is named 2k17 Roster. I also have full 150 man 2016, 2017, and 2018 draft classes that teondaddy1 and I have worked on all season long listed under my PSN name as well. The 2016 class is pretty much finalized, we only have a couple international draft picks to add to it. The 2017 class is pretty much finalized as well, we just have a few players that need tendency adjustments made to them.

As for my roster, like I said we have quite a few UFA's in it and we put them on the teams they signed with, but ONLY if they signed guaranteed deals. Those who only signed for the summer league are still in the FA pool. We have a few players left that need to be updated and we're still adding UFA's so keep checking for updates. I will also be removing retired players as they retire and putting them in the euroleague teams so that people can still use them if they want to, they just have to switch them back into the roster. I will also be keeping up on free agency moves as they occur, most players are currently still on their teams from this last season (a few had to be released to make room for drafted players) but they will be moved to the teams they sign with and have updated contracts as they sign. After free agency is over, I will be going through and updating EVERYONE'S contracts to make them have the correct lengths etc.

All feedback is welcome regarding this roster. If anyone notices any issues, any players that should be rated higher than they are etc, please feel free to let me know! I am not a person that will bash someone for pointing out any flaws that are found, I want to make this as enjoyable and as accurate as possible for everyone. Thanks!

Sounds good man. I'll definitely check it out. You said you updated sigs, badges, etc. I'm assuming that includes ratings, but what about tendencies, plays, coach profiles, and accessories?

My bad man, I was on vacaton all weekend lol. But yes, EVERYTHING has been updated. Accessories are as accurate as possible, some players wore a few different attribute combinations so I just went with what was most often seen from them. FA moves are all up to date right now. EVERYTHING has had a massive overhaul to it EXCEPT coaching playbooks. Tendencies and play styles have, but playbooks haven't. I still need to make Houston more of a run and gun type team now that they're under D'Antoni and I have to try and figure out how teams who hired assistants will play, but everything is up to date and has received a huge overhaul. Retired players have not been removed yet except Kobe and OJ Mayo (2 year disqualification) because most players haven't announced retirements yet. Those will be updated when known of. There are only a few prospects I have left to update and they're all UFA's (Undrafted Free Agents) so they're basically nobodies. Lol. But I'll get then done after I play around with the roster a bit!

Well I got bored today and updated EVERY contract to reflect what they will be next season. Lol. So that's done.

Just posting an update: all FA moves are updated to this point. Tim Duncan has also been moved to a Euroleague team because he retired (the legends I've been moving to Euroleague teams when they retire in case anyone wants to use them, everyone else has just been getting zeroed out and thtown into FA). Made some tendency updates as well. Buddy who's working with me on it made some tendency updates to some players, changed some positions, changed the Rockets' playbook (I have to test this first to see if it'll work) and did some more work. This roster is looking and playing very well through MyLeague so far! Into year 3 and none of the rookies are progressing too quickly and neither are ant of the players already in the game. ONLY issue I've come across is now that GS has Durant, Curry is almost always NOT re-signing with GS after season one. I've seen him sign with Atlanta and Brooklyn so far. I've also seen LeBron not resigning with Cleveland. I've seen him sign with Brooklyn and Boston. I raised Curry's loyalty to try and fix this but I'm not touching LeBron's because we all know he's not very loyal and can up and leave whenever he feels like it. Lmao.

My bad about not getting back to you about the Rockets playbook. These plays are hard to replicate. My suggestion would be to just use the 05 Suns playbook for the Rockets and add some additional plays. I've found a video and I'm pretty sure someone eyes are better than mine about putting these plays in

Yeah we have that playbook set as theirs now but we definitely need to edit it. Lol.

As for that Gibson signing, we're going to have to create him and see if Dallas has enough roster spots. If not, he'll be left off. There are a lot of new guys who signed contracts who aren't on the teams due to no roster spots in 2k because a lot of these guys are in fact signing contracts that contain language stating they'll only be on the roster if they make the team out of camp, otherwise they go to the teams D-League and that team owns their rights until the end of the contract. That's the kind of contract Bryn Forbes signed with the Spurs for example. So these teams are signing other FA's and then signing these young guys so that they have their rights for the future in case they become NBA ready.

I have an appointment for my back this afternoon, when I get home I'm updating the recent FA signings that have happened the last two days and then uploading the update. I can't guarantee a timeframe as my testing I need done takes an hour to an hour and a half minimum and then I have an hour ride home, so just check my roster around 8pm (eastern time btw lol) at the latest. It should be up by then.

Also, if you guys are loving this roster, spread the word around so I can get more support as well as some more feedback. This has been a long roster project and I'm going to be doing one quite similar for 2k17 when I get it. So to gain a base of followers and supporters that'll carry over to the next game will be awesome. Teondaddy1 and I will be working together again on a draft class project and many people have like our work this season, so getting even more feedback for next seasons game will help make it even better. We've been told our classes and this roster are better than what some of the more well known guys are putting out, we just don't make youtube channels to try and get more support over a game, we take what we get. Lol. But more feedback helps us make it as perfect as possible so we'd definitely love it. Thanks guys!
