Question Can someone please explain in detail how to fake a transition

do you just flick the stick in the direction and make the bar light up in yellow but not move so the animation just starts and then cancel and hold in the oposite direction?or do you need to make the yellow bar move a little thanks in advance

Yes, start and immediately stop the transition is a fake. Unfortunately though it can be tough at the higher levels to not get denied, in my experiences.

Its something that works better in certain positions, in single collar clinch you can fake to over under then go for muay thai clinch always worked for me, and vice versa. Same as when in half guard sub fake to full guard then to back sitting or kimura i think or twister cant remember which sub is that direction. But works for me. Fake crucifix to full mount and vice versa. thats just a few, there are loads that work quite nice though, just experiment.
