out of the last 14 losses all of them in the OP clinch

this clinch thing is out of control. its almost a guaranteed knock down stun or ko

and lately im noticing if you hit block (blocking the muai thai spammers) and accidentally hit any button it dont block at all

its like it thinks your parrying and dont block

happened all 14 losses they werent consecutive but damn same thing every time should speak volumes. check you data that clinch KO should be very seldom. not every other fight.

Were you rocked before most of those clinch attempts?

My god I can't tell you how many times when you're rocked people try and clinch you to go for the cheap KO its pathetic.

Yeah the whole game is pathetic tbh. Currently I TRY to sell my copy. I don't think anything will change asap. The standup and the game in general is absolutely broken regarding sim elements! I remember how shocked I was when I watched the first scene of the reveal. The McGregor vs. Aldo scene. And yeah nothing changed since. We have this one-dimensional SF / MK / Tekken clone with the thai clinch and every time I play the game after some weeks of absence I question my stupid self why I keep trying to play this broken mess and torture myself lmao.

Hopefully they release a new boxing game anytime soon with proper standup.

If you are still having problems with the clinch, you really need to practice it. If someone can keep you in it, they did. The clinch is one way to punish high block sitters. You don't want to get clinched, don't sit on high block. Be reactive and deny the clinch attempt instead. The window to deny is pretty big. I've been rocked and denied entries numerous times.

I swear, they are going to remove the clinch altogether because people just won't learn it.

Couldn't agree more, the only issue I have with the clinch is sometimes when you've been rocked and you're backed up against the cage and they get the instant thai clinch sometimes you can't block knees no matter what, it just goes through your block even if you don't have much arm damage. Other than that I think it's the best its been since the start of the game.

Y'all need to learn to deny clinch attempts lmao I find them easier to deny then takedowns and it's really not that hard to see them coming

I like the clinch mechanics how they are, but knees and elbow damage from the clinch still need toned down more. I kill the cpu with these so bad it's funny.
