Object scouts - locking objects

Hey folks,
Has anyone used this so far? There is a lead 5* body kick that I always wanted to get for 46k but I'm not sure if I really want to spend my coins on that. So what happens if you lock an item? Does it stay there until you buy it? Or until you unlock it? And does that mean when you refresh the items that there will always only be 4 new items until you buy the locked one?

Well I tried it now, the object stays locked until you buy it or unlock it and when you refresh the list there are only 4 new items because one is the one you locked up

ive been using it to farm attribute cards, locking any high level ones and buying the others up

I haven't used it yet but I like the idea. Now I'm not spending 500 coins to refresh that's just silly and I haven't seen much worth getting so far. Few chin health cards is about all.

I wish they'd throw up some rare cards worth saving for.
