Far Too Many Pop Ups on Pitches Up in the Zone

I have tried multiple hitting settings and no matter what I use I am seeing far too many pop ups with good timing on pitches up in the zone. This was a problem last year and is becoming a game killer for me.

Is anyone else having this problem and, if so, what have you done to correct it? I would love to see the developers address this in a patch.

Are you using zone or directional hitting?

Using zone I'm not having any issues with the hitting.

Hitting this year seems to be the best it's ever been.

I've used both (no PCI movement as many have suggested) and am having issues whichever one I use.

You need to move the pci.

You shouldn't need to with directional.

Not moving the PCI with Zone hitting is never going to be a successful strategy. I was having the same problem with Directional hitting, even popping up fastballs that were dead center over the plate. With Zone I see far less of it. What I've found works best for me as far as avoiding all the popups is starting my PCI right at the line between the middle and upper thirds of the plate. Personally I find it much easier to go down and get something low versus trying to catch up to the hard stuff up in the zone so starting my PCI there gives me a head start. But IMO Zone is the way to go if you're having issues with popups. And most definitely move the PCI. If you don't move the PCI then chances are anything in the upper third is going to be a lazy fly ball.
