NBA 2k16: Worth buying at this late stage?

Hi guys,

I've just finished university and have a long wait until September to start my graduate job. NBA 2k16 can be picked up quite low cost right now (even cheaper preowned). Is it worth the purchase despite the late stage in the NBA season?

Also, if I buy preowned, will this limit me in any way? E.g will I have to pay to play online?

What modes will you be playing? I say if you like basketball games then go for it.

I'd say get it.

If you like basketball and 2K you still got a few good months before the new one comes out; I'd say with the game being fresh to you, you'd enjoy it.

Agreed the NBA player models look good enough to keep the game going way until after the season and into the next season.

Just wish something could be done about the current create a player models while they look nice still noticeable when compared to actual NBA player scans.

I play offline so I am not sure about the PC issues but the PC version could be the way I might be going into the future. Considering the amount of mod and player updates not available on console!

If you enjoy basketball, and can find it for a reduced price, I'd absolutely recommend picking up a copy. And no, there isn't any kind of fee you'll have to pay to be able to play a used copy online.

And if I can make a suggestion, find some good teammates and give All Star Teamup a go. When you have 4 other guys with you who know what they're doing, it's the most fun that can be had in this game, in my opinion.

What system are you going to be on? I'm pretty sure it's going to be free on X1 starting Thursday through this weekend.

Buy PC version, download all the available mods and enjoy otherwise you are stuck with afro Curry, thunderstruck Mayo, generic Norman Powell, red haired James Johnson & bunch of other dudes i'm lazy to type. My advice get the PC version, it's whole different world out there, you have authentic arenas, 4K jerseys, up to date cyberfaces, skintone/arena lightning mods and much more.
