Play the game and make sure you like it enough. If you run into something that says you need it, then yes. If you play it awhile and it never asks you, no.

It's got a lot of extra themes, with a lot of nice courses. And a single player seasons mode.

I'd play for a while, see if you like the game. If you're enjoying the experience the add on definitely enhances it
