RTTS Trade

Question..

I'm in my third year with the Yankees and I'd really like to play somewhere else. Never liked the Yankees, and their unis are getting boring for me. I know I could have just picked my team at the start but I like the randomness of the draft.

Anyways, I know after you play 6 seasons you can just keep declining contract offers from teams and just go to spring training for whichever team you want, effectively choosing your own team. What happens if I keep declining the Yankees offers this offseason? Will it just auto sign me since I haven't played the 6 years or can I pick a team to sign with?

I'm assuming it'll auto sign for me. So I guess I'll just demand a trade. It never happens though. I'm a 99 overall so hard to move.

Re: RTTS Trade

At the end of the offseason you just get placed on the roster again, so that won't work. Just keep demanding trades and they might come through eventually. I had an RTTS character that I transferred from 14 to 15 that was 99 overall, just a real stud. I spent a good 7 or 8 years in Toronto, left for San Diego when I could go into free agency and inked like a 6 year $180M deal. I had won MVP for a good 3 years in a row in San Diego when one year at the trade deadline they shipped me off to San Francisco for Madison Bumgarner.. Anything can happen man. Worst case scenario you can always just do a lot of simming and get those last few years out of the way.

Can you get traded without asking for a trade?

Re: RTTS Trade

I've been playing the show since 09, strictly RTTS. I think I've made it to the big league club of the team I've been drafted by only once. I always get traded and have never asked for a trade. I actually got DFA'd this year because of an injury and picked up by a diff team. I don't mind it, like learning new teams

Yes. I created a starting pitcher and a Left Fielder and I got traded during my first off season in both.

This makes me so happy. RTTS is by far the best career mode out there.

Re: RTTS Trade

If you turn up the trade frequency slider it will help as well. Once you get traded you can turn it back down.
