Franchise Mode Help

Me and my roommates want to start a franchise together with a fantasy draft. Is it possible to play a franchise that isn't 162 games? Only see the option to change the number of games in season mode.

No brother...162 only in franchise mode.
Season doesn't give you the minor leagues(except the 15 extra players on the 40 man)...but it's more than just 1 season....it's multiple.
