The Marketplace

So I am new to the this Diamond Dynasty thing. Haven't played the show since v12.

Early on I was making some pretty good stubs working the market. But it seems the market has really leveled out now and it's more work to make a few hundred stubs. So I had a few questions for your veterans.

1. Will the market go back to finding good buy low / sell high deals, or is this pretty much how it will be from here on out?

2. How do how the rating changes on players effect the market in the future? For example, if a guy is a silver and moves to a gold is he 1. Harder to get in packs now, and 2. Does his value increase in the market place?

3. With number 2 in mind, is it a good idea to stock pile some players you think will be good investments? I don't want to stock pile 12 cards, if their rating going up really doesn't effect their value. My thought is there must be more of those cards out there if they were easier to come by early on. So they won't be valued as high as say a card that was a gold from the start.

Appreciate the thoughts!

Re: The Marketplace

1. Economics 101, profits tend to zero man. All profits are are people taking advantage of market inefficiencies.

2&3. You are learning how speculation in markets works. If I buy this stock today, will it be worth more a year from now? It would stand to reason that if players ratings go up they would be more desirable and therefore the price would go up. But the only sure things in life are death and taxes.
