OS94 (MLB 16) Topic

Hey all,

Year 3 of OS94 developement!

I'll finish this this summer and then start on OS98.

First order of business is of course porting from MLB 15.

THEN, I'll go through and set Birthplaces. Actually not that much of an headache since you can pretty much get the info with a simple google search.

Then it will be all about completing the 90-man rosters. Pitchers left to do at this point.

First impression, birthplaces aren't assigned to ported players THAT randomly.

Byung-Hyun Kim was correctly assigned South Korea as a birth place without me having to edit it. What are the odds?

I'm thinking there's a database within the game that detects some players name and puts in the correct birthplace. Or it may just be that his name is Kim and the game automatically makes anyone named Kim a Korean because that's a real common Korean name.

Phil, let me know if you need any assistance with the porting. I already carried over your 94 V2 rosters from MLB 15 to MLB 16 with the roster control on

Ahh yes, I'd love more faces! We had NL East and Central done I think. Definitively NL East.

It will be too much hassle doing it now though because you'd need to upload every player individually out of Franchise mode. I'll do the port proper, and then you can use the roster file to do it and reupload it when you've got some done.

Thanks for wanting to do this again, saves me a ton of work!

A few questions, if I may:

Are Jeter, Pettitte, Rivera- Yanks minors?
Will Nomar be on the Red Sox Single A?
Will Dale Murphy be on the Free Agent list? Lee Stevens?

Jeter, Pettitte and Rivera are in along with Posada as well in the minors....I actually have a Yankees franchise going using these rosters and I'm trying to duplicate the feats of the "Core Four"

Phil really did a subperb job with these rosters, he loaded the minors across the league with so many players, Nomar being among them
