Game Modes
Simsportsworld will have 2 Separate game modes:
Dynasty Mode – Create a player AND/OR Coach and take him through a career. You start in High School and eventually go to College, where REAL Coaches and REAL Players recruit and are recruited to play in the College league and eventually if you're good enough the PROS.
1 game will be simulated per day in a 45 day season (including playoffs/college & High School tournaments).
It's important to note that this mode is interconnected, meaning the team you coach will have other users's players on your team! Likewise your players will be coached by another users's coach!
Dynasty Mode is planned to be released in about a week or less
Manager Mode – Managers can create club teams and run them. You earn "coins" by playing games and can use those coins to buy packs of cards to improve your team. Extremely similar to a Madden/Fifa Ultimate Team mode.
There are nightly tournaments that your team can compete in as well as a match-making system where you can compete against other teams. There is also a Challenge mode where you can complete certain challenges like coming back from a 4th quarter deficit.
This mode is meant to be a fun way to fill in the time between games in dynasty mode.
League Structures In Dynasty Mode
High School
As you start your career you will begin in High School where your player will earn XP. You earn XP based on how well you play in games against other REAL players/coaches. The season will last 45 days and will end with a 4,096 team High School Tournament!
How well you perform team and individual-wise is important as this will draw attention to your player from College coaches. These REAL user college coaches will recruit players at the end of the High School season.
As a coach being successful in high school leads to more "XP" earned. The more XP you earn the more likely you will be to get a job at a better college or Pro league team.
College
Similar to High School, College will be a 45 day season where players and coach's compete against other Users in a college season. Following the college season will be a conference tournament, where the winner will get an automatic bid to the 64 team College tournament at the end of the season.
After the tournament, college coaches have the job of recruiting high school players. This is done by REAL communication with other users on the site. To prevent any kind of "stacking" of teams coaches will NOT be able to recruit their own players and may only have 1 user's player per team.
Pro League
After 4 years (or less if preferred) in college you may enter the draft for the professional league. In this league, Coach's will be in charge of drafting these users's players to their team.
This league will be a 45 day season followed by playoffs.
Building a Community
Since coaches and players will always be interacting with each other building a community is an IMPORTANT part of SSW. The way this will be done is by having some users write news stories about players, coaches, recruiting, the HS/Pro/College league, etc. There are plans to have radio shows run as well throughout the year to discuss these topics. The idea is to make this game as similar to a real life HS-College-Pro progression as possible.
