Madden is one of the focus games. Um.....this could be bad for sim players.

I don't think so. I think it will force them to do better bug testing in gameplay and go after exploits much more diligently. Gameplay might benefit greatly.

It shouldn't affect sim play at all because end of the day you can change settings & custom sliders.
