Re: XP Sliders
I ran 10-year testing to see if I could improve sack numbers, but unfortunately it didn't seem to help much. I could tell a slight difference, but it wasn't enough for me.
Decreasing QB XP helped reduce some passing numbers, and increasing FBs and CBs definitely increased the OVRs for those positions, which was a welcome change to see. But the #1 thing I wanted I wasn't able to do. I have no idea why Madden programmers think that real players are the only ones who can get sacks. Game-generated DEs and OLBs starting around years 8-10 when many real players regress and retire just can't get to the QB. With DE/OLB XP jacked up to the extreme and tackle XP reduced (which I didn't really want to do because of the in-game effect of having bad tackles), the top sacking game-generated pass rushers would only get 9-12 sacks a season. I could never get anyone more than about 14 sacks, and once all the real players are gone there are like 4 guys who get 10+ sacks a year. The sim engine sucks with game-generated guys, that much is just certain.
Maybe in addition with the XP sliders we can get draft quality sliders and sim stats sliders next year. Ha.
