If you just rebrand your team you will get to make a new arena in the same city.
You don't have to move the team, you can just edit the arena and the uniforms.

I don't need to rebrand the team. I am taking the Bucks and they need a new arena......

are there any implications to "rebranding your team" even if it is just changing the arena? Like you lose location-specific chants or anything?

You can change the arena without changing uniforms and logo. All previous logos and colors will be available to you when making your custom arena. Did this for my Kings
