Why are screens set so terribly?

Are they supposed to do this?

This was a set play and is one of the many reasons why offense is so awkward compared to real life. I see this multiple times every game.

Also, how was there no contact on this screen?

I agree, I notice depending on which slider set I'm playing with it affects my teammates pick success.

Re: Why are screens set so terribly?

I notice that most of my picks in pre set plays are pretty useless and I have to navigate my defender into them, when possible. Calling for a pick is better, but not up to the level of even middle school teams. I'm not sure what slider would help if any at all. I'm just used to working around it, or accepting that the play is dead and just try something else.

I agree. This is a problem that 2k needs to address/tune for future games. I can't ever remember it being this bad

what i have noticed is that players with the brickwall badge, do a better job of setting picks then the guys who don't have the badge. And the same thing with screens.

Re: Why are screens set so terribly?

Yup. This has been a problem since launch and it seems screen/pick positioning becomes far worse if its within a set play. The other thing is that the CPU sets far more effective screens than the user can, both in positioning and effectiveness. It really needs to be addressed since its one of the main reasons why plays break down so often.

Last year was worse by far, but this year is pretty bad also. I'm just glad the butt picks are gone.
