Team chemistry in Be a GM Mode

What is the highest % someone has gotten their 'team chemistry' too? In a GM mode season
I am in my second season, and the highest I can get to is 83% (seems to hover around that), and we have a good record, 3rd in the NHL overall. thanks!

I've gotten as high as 80, but I'm down to 75 now after "benching" injured players, and they got their feelings hurt. Now, they say they are "disconnected," and that's hurt the locker room chemistry. I have the top record in the league after 19 games my first season.

I hate that they want to meet with me after being scratched to tell me how pissed they are, and there is no, "Shut up, buttercup, you're injured and can't play," response.

Currently experiencing this now... benched an injured player and they're still mad about it a full season later...

Also ruined one of my prospect's development by sending him down to the AHL after my NHL season was over. Apparently the game doesn't realize that the NHL season is over and takes it as an insult

There needs to be an option to disable that entire system. It's bad, very bad.

yet another example of a good concept ineptly implemented by an inept team. You keep cutting them corners EA!

Re: Team chemistry in Be a GM Mode

I had my team chemistry at 83%, and traded a "star" player. It dropped to mid 70s. Then I didn't dress a player when his injury became playable after being out for a month and all of a sudden the room collapsed. 69% is the lowest it's gone and I'm currently rebuilding it again. I believe I have it at 76% now.

What I find ruins this feature is
1. There are not enough players with bad team chemistry amongst one another. Any trade we make will only result in the team chemistry dropping.
2. Bringing in good assets via free agency/trades also ruins team chemistry because players start to feel as though they're being replaced by others. This is a sports game and in the world of sports, players are aware that transactions occur. In this game, it rattles the entire team. It's as though nobody is willing to accept change and the process of becoming a better team.
3. The "I feel the front office is making poor decisions" comment a player makes should be less frequent. I started my franchise and was immediately told that by a star player, so I answered to purposely have him lose morale since I was planning on trading him anyway. But then I couldn't because all my star players have the best chemistry with that player, so they would complain!
4. I shouldn't have to have player meetings every time I dress a player, or every time I scratch one. And that is for two reasons. The first being that players who aren't regularly in the lineup should know that their role on the team is not secure and that rotation is very likely. The second reason is because I am the GM! Not the COACH! And even though the assistant coach edit lines is off when I play, scratching and dressing players is something a coach does, not a GM. The mode is called Be A GM mode so the meetings should be more about things GMs take care of.
5. Lastly, I can't meet up with players at my own will. So let's say someone is underperforming, they need to realize it first, bring it to my attention, and then I get to chose what to say. I should be able to address it myself that way I can scratch them with reason. The players also don't seem too aware of their own stats. A player of mine was leading the team in points and complaining about his play, and I couldn't even tell him he was meeting my expectations. I had to agree with him and let him know he would get passed his slump.

I'm no saying this feature is garbage here. It just got repetitive too soon.

I don't really mind it too much, until they start B****ing about being scratched despite still being injured. Voracek dropped to an 87 and Schenn is sitting at an 80...ugh....Good idea, but it needed to be fleshed out a bit more

Re: Team chemistry in Be a GM Mode

The chemistry seemed like something that would be cool, but it doesn't really seem to matter much. I wanted to see what would happen if I took my team (the Blues) that was doing well (11-2-2) and had a roster shakeup. Not just some small trade, I wanted to make big moves and really have a blockbuster trade.

So, figuring there was a team in need of size and defensive skill, along with a real PP Quarterback, I traded Shattenkirk, Ott, and Backes, along with a 1st round pick to Edmonton for Eberle, Nugent Hopkins (retained 2m on him) and Darnell Nurse (I don't know that Edmonton would ever go for it...but it was done).

The team morale dropped a bit, but it didn't really affect anything after that, and aside from addressing the player's concerns and telling them it's for the best...nothing changed. It was cool to see that everyone was bummed that I traded Shattenkirk, but there was no real change. Schwartz was most upset, but he quickly pepped back up when promoted to captain.

Like a lot of EA's idea, it was a cool idea that has no substance to it. The entire Be a GM mode just lacks any real depth. It's still just teams playing in a vacuum. My record doesn't matter, trades don't really matter...nothing seems to happen for a reason.
