How to swat?

I was wondering if there is a swat button because the controller layout it is R1 but in button controls is say square?so idk what it is and if you hold it this in the air or you just play ball in the air but they end up getting beat like half or more than a time or should I play receiver but all it does it is hit him in mid air and and in the controller layout it holing square you dive on D?So i was jw if anyone knew how to swat so pass up are all or nothing.

been wondering this also.. have had no luck at all with the play receiver button.....
from what i have read tho, square and r1 are both swat ball this year.. i think maybe just tapping the button at right moment for square so u dont attempt a tackle

It's two buttons this year (wtf??) and isn't really explained well in the Skills Trainer. I'm still not sure if I am suppose to hold it or tap it because most of the time they won't go for the swat.

Swat is square.

You hold square to swat in a ball hawk fashion. R1 is more timing based like previous games.

What ratings affect the success of a swat or INT attempt? Obviously the wideout is using CIT or SPC or what ever but what is the DB using? MCV and ZCV?

MCV is what allows the player/cpu to play accurately for a pick. The description as posted in the game is accurate. there was a guy here on OS that did a simmed year and found that cpu cb's with thehighest mcv had the most interceptions. although a small finding, it is interesting.

I had this same question before i get the game, after over 60 games i can answer your question.

BOTH would work. L1 or square will swat the pass.

I play 100% with the CB when defense, so i had experience.

You have to HOLD the button, not tapped.

Use what is feels more suitable for you.
