Excellent shot release impossible?

I have played about 2 full 12 minute offline games and about 7 full 12 minute online games. Out of all those games I probably got excellent shot release less than 10 times, maybe I just suck or there might be actually something to it, either way it's frustrating. Does anyone have the same issue? Any pointers? I'm missing wide open shots when I'm not supposed to, I play on All Star/Superstar SIM.

It's suppose to be more rare than last year.

Make sure your TV settings are on Game Mode or PC too. 2k16 is the only game I have where I've had to make sure this is on, makes a big difference with shot timing, I get more excellent ratings since I corrected it.

I'm curious how exactly this would help?

Re: Excellent shot release impossible?

The lag from your tv can throw your timing of your shot off. My friend has an LG tv and we noticed this a couple years ago playing 2k over his house. We changed it to game mode or whatever it was called on his tv and sure enough it was fixed...
