Subs/packages for Wildcat?

Any ideas/workarounds for getting the correct guys into a wildcat package?

I'd like to use Terrelle Pryor there, but the game will only let me put in RBs, not WRs. I can use packages to put in a QB or WR1/2, and even put in the WR2 package and sub WR2 into a different slot to put WR3 at QB...but no way to get WR5/6 in at QB that I can see. Of course they let you put backup LBs in at TE and K/P at QB.

I few years ago I switched MarQueis Gray from TE to FB (which he actually played) to be able to sub him into wildcat. I guess I could move Pryor to FB and sub him in - or to QB and sub him in - he'd probably have to be be QB2 specifically in that case.

You could move him to rb and use him as wildcat and I believe wr.

That might be best, could he still go on the WR depth chart as a RB? I should double check that.

This is a funny inconsistency in their approach.

Generally, they want to make everything as generic as possible. To their DIScredit, they're marketing to competitive MUT/online players, making the game league of legends instead of a recreation of the NFL. Why have play calls that work when you can press 30 buttons to make adjustments before every snap?

Anyway, they want you to shuffle rosters, that's why CPU teams will cut all long snappers, shuffle all the depth charts with regard to X/Z receivers, L/R CB, LILB/RILB, and disregard RB committees, DL rotations etc. Yet for the wildcat, they'll tie the personnel to the default NFL rosters, and it becomes a mess if you want to draft a "fantasy" team or update in any way!

I guess it's based more on the playbook than the depth chart, that states that running back x is the wildcat QB in the Browns playbook. Too bad, if there were a depth chart slot for "wildcat QB" like 3DRB/LS/KOS it would solve this problem.

Yes he can...because in preseason if you don't have enough WR's on your team, meaning at least 10, then your starting HB is on the WR depth chart.

How about they just axe the formation entirely? When was it last run in the NFL?

Teams still use it pretty regularly. And why should we be forced to use only what the NFL teams use?

First off no they don't - and haven't since 2007.

Secondly, this title is "attempting" to simulate NFL football - which means no viable wildcat. If you disagree with that then you should start up a thread on how we should just play with generic players.

They dont use it like they did back then. But teams will still use it every now and then. And if im the coach of an NFL team i should be allowed to run whatever formation i want.
