Strange Error (E3)

So a guy hits an easy ground ball to first. Rizzo fields it cleanly and goes to step on the bag but misses (?!?!?). No problem, the guy running is slow as @!#$! so I have plenty of time to get there. Only, the game literally won't let me move toward first base after not tagging it the first try. E3.

First, I don't know how a guy can basically walk to first base but somehow not step on it. Second, there was plenty of time to correct the mistake (assuming I made a mistake), but it's as if the controls were just frozen.

It's plays like these that make people dream up conspiracy theories about gameplay.

Its not a conspiracy. Its a glitch in the game. I had it happen once. Not sure what the trigger is, but its nothing more than a glitch/bug.

Yes I know it's a glitch. What I meant was that this type of glitch is what gamer conspiracy theorists use to help their argument that any time they don't win, it's because the game is flawed.

To be clear. I'm not one of those people. I know I suck at the game.

Had that just happen in a game on a grounder to first by Ryan Howard. Missed the bag and missed the tag play too, while the first baseman was standing on the foul line to boot!
