tackles vs assisted tackles

Anyone notice that there are too many assisted tackles vs solo tackles being recorded.

I just went through the defensive stats screen in my test CFM and most of my defenders had more assists than solos while with all the other cpu controlled teams it was the opposite.

Thought I'd give this a bump... any thoughts?

I noticed as well, but at least it's an improvement over the last two years, where no assists were being recorded.

Not at my console, but worth checking - do the CFM linebacker season goals care about total tackles or solo tackles?

That'd be the one thing I'd be concerned about if there are too many assisted tackles.

Total tackles.

In real life, a solo can be awarded to a player on an assisted tackle- it is determined by the home team statistician.

However, in Madden, an assist is ALWAYS awarded on a gang tackle. So if your MLB stands up an RB, and a safety joins in as the RB is going down, the game awards them both an assist, where as in real life, the MLB would get a solo, and the safety an assist.

Thanks, I think that's where my problem is.

Wonder if that can be patched.. Might be hard to do so. As someone posted out better to have it than not.
