This is very cool. It actually cleaned up a few things for me on basic triangle 101.

Great compilation.

Re: Zen Arcade:Advance triangle offense concepts

I've played a few games playing only triangle motion cuts to try this stuff out.

It's been hit and miss. I do worst when I try to find ways to set up the outside cut to the corner or wing reverse. I can do it sometimes but even when I can it takes up valuable seconds off the shot clock to get set up and I end up struggling and taking a bad shot because there's not enough time to run through the options.

A fair number of times when I try to set up the wing man closer to the key for the outside cut or wing reverse, using some dribble movements, the triangle just sets up on the other side and now I'm weak side with the ball having used up clock to try to get the set to run. It's very finicky and precise, and when your AI teammates are not setting up in reliable places in response to the defense, it doesn't work. I've basically just stopped trying to set up either one. I recognize them when they may happen organically, but I can't create them.

Also I find that when the defense gets aggressive it becomes very hard to get the AI teammates to set up. It seems the system runs some different spacing and plays in some situations, outside of the normal triangle base.

I'm going to keep working with it a while, but it can be frustrating. My shooting percentages are down using it, and I'm not practiced enough yet to use it to get specific guys the ball in specific places. There are also times I feel like I'm in position for motion cuts to operate and then. . . . the AI just leaves me hanging, no movement. So, lost seconds, try to find a shot, no one's moving, no one's open, so more bad shots or worse, animations where a player loses the handle and I have no control of my player or the ball anymore as the clock winds down.

Don't get me wrong, the videos are great. I'm just struggling a bit after playing four full 12 minute quarter games to make it work consistently through the various branches in these videos.

I wonder what changes Czar may have to the system for 2k16.

My experience i similair to yours. My hunch is if your not playing as the Knicks or MJ bulls it doesn't work as well. Since the triangle is their offense coded in the game.

These are not money plays.Have you noticed the score on my videos? This means that you can't get those actions any trip down the court. I was struggling too to get the alignments right. On my next video ,where i break down "center opposite", you will notice a lot of passes between the wing and the man to the top.
This is because we can't control if the weak side big stays at the pinch post or flashes at the opposite wing, so you need to repass(and eat up the shotclock too) if you want to trigger other actions.

It's more like a guideline to recognize when these actions will trigger. Also the concept of pressure releases is nice in theory but inconsistently implemented in the game.Wing Reverse in real life happens in an instant when the ball handler reaches the line of truth and the wing is denied. In game you have to wait for the big to raise position and even then ,the passing lane may be clogged.

So , if you want to consistently pull off great offense, the triangle might not be for you(heck it might not be suited, even for the real life knicks). For the autistic simhead it's nice to explore those options though.Remember, in previous years we didn't even have freelance offenses.

The joy of having to build a team and get used to running a whole system is something i look forward to 2k16.Thanks for the feedback.
