my purchase depends on it.

the rumble is just plain unnecessary, uncomfortable

runs battery life and irritates me.

why would they force us to play with it ?

I didn't get 15 but is this true? You couldn't turn vibration off...I hate vibration.

Vibration is a system-level option on the PS4 (don't know about One) - you don't change it in the game, you change at the Settings/Devices/Controllers/Uncheck "Enable Vibration". Done.

I don't doubt it has a in game purpose, but personally....

I use to work in maintenance, and as a job related habit, if you were fixing something and it unexpectedly vibrated you let go of it with the quickness.

Hard habit to break.

Well after reading the title of this thread, I am now stuck with a battle of the bands: Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch vs. The Beach Boys ringing in my head in an endless loop.
