Can I get Phil Jackson as a coach?

Is it possible for me to get Phil Jackson as the coach of the Lakers? Either through MyGM, or before starting MyGM?

Also, is there a specific playbook I can use that runs the triangle? I know there's the in game way of doing it.

Nope you can't get PJax as your coach.

You can use the Triangle. The Knicks have triangle plays in their playbook, along with the 90s Bulls teams.

You can't get PJax as coach, though. I even tried simming a bunch of seasons with the 72 Knicks (since he's on the roster) to see if he turns into a coach when he retires... He doesn't.

Never tried this but if you put the '71-'72 Knicks version of Phil Jackson on free agency and maybe in the offseason he'll be available as a coach.

Give him the mentor badge and give it a shot. I tried this way for you just now but he wasn't in the staff pool but I believe it's possible with this method (try giving him a hire rating maybe)

That's a long way to go to get Phil lol. I've thought about doing that but didnt wanna put in that kind of time.

lol yea for some reason the 90's Bulls teams are coached by some generic coach. I guess licensing? Which is odd since Phil's likeness as an NBA player is already in the game.

Anyway I did this method in NBA 2k14 to get Steve Kerr as a Coach and it worked. I made the 90's Bulls version of him 40 years old and he was in the Assistant coaching pool after the first off season

Tried putting a 49 year old Phil in MyLeague btw, still didn't turn into a coach in the first season. Which sucks. :/
