The OS Fighter's Lounge

I figured I would make this thread for all the fighting game enthusiasts (mods, let me know if this is off base) around OS.

I know we already have established threads for the "big boys"

MKX
USF4
Injustice
Killer Instinct

but I figured it would be good to have place to discuss the less popular fighters:

Skullgirls 2nd Encore
Guilty Gear Xrd Sign
Blazblue Continuum Shift
JStars

and maybe set up some matches.

Re: The OS Fighter's Lounge

I'm loving Blazblue CE. Only thing is that there is no PS3 fight stick support as of now. I hope they patch it, but I am able to mash out combos surprisingly well with the DS4.

I will probably pick up Skull Girls this week sometime. Never played it before, but it looks varied and fun.

The OS Fighter's Lounge

I just picked up Skull Girls and and JStars today....I fell in love with Skull Girls during my PSNow trial, so it was a must grab.

JStars isn't a technical fighting game in the least but I figured it'd be a fun little button masher...

I plan on getting BlazBlue next week...

Saw that this just released:

Budget shows in the fringes, but it looks interesting. Heard there was good netcode too.

Re: The OS Fighter's Lounge

i'm just getting into fighting games, have mkx and USF4 on ps4 and thinking about getting KI on xbone since the combo pack is on sale for $32.00. I don't think im willing to invest in a stick, so what is everyones stance on sticks for pads? will i hold my own or is it not even worth trying?

Re: The OS Fighter's Lounge

It's all about what you're comfortable playing on. People win tournaments on stick and pad.

Re: The OS Fighter's Lounge

I didn't think injustice and Killer instinct were considered "big boys" in the FGC. Also, we need some tekken love in here.

Skullgirls is dope, but tricky. And i had a blast with blazeblue when i played it.

And as for stick vs pad, it's like cyros said, comfort is the most important thing. I played in arcades when i was younger, but i still prefer a controller over a stick. It's all about what feels better to you, i'm not nearly as good using a stick as i am on controller.

Injustice definitely is...not so much Killer Instinct....guess I just added it in there since it's one of the better known games and has its own thread here.

I prefer the controller over the stick too though....
