I'm with you CM, I played plenty games and I just assumed that if it didn't go my way(kick first), that the other player had the same setting and won the RNG coin toss.

That's not what he means. What he's referring to is that if you are playing someone and their first choice is kick and second choice is against the wind, and your choices match that, you would lose the coin toss and have to receive but you would also be WITH the wind to start. It didn't work correctly. You obviously lost the toss, so you should get the option to choose which goal to defend. This is how it was in online CFM games. I can't speak for cpu or play now.
