Russell Westbrook

Every time i play against the thunder in my franchise, Westbrook goes off! Dude gets like 50 points every game, he is unstoppable. Does he destroy anyone else or just me?

Simply put, he is a beast. He does everything well that the CPU loves doing which is shoot mid range jumper after mid range jumper.

Yes, Russ is one of the hardest players for me to guard as a PG. He does everything well and he's even more dangerous because of the last patch, so he makes a lot more 3s than he used to. And like the poster before said, he is great like in real life and shooting mid range jumpers. He also is super explosive and makes a lot of layups.

What I do to "contain" Russ is from playing MyCareer. I never actually completely try to lock him down because as a PG, I have to help on KD because he's just a different animal and I would rather have Russ get off than KD. But when I'm focusing in on Russ, you just have to play a little off, man. Because if you don't, that pull up and him attacking the rim is almost automatic.

Don't give him too much space like he's Rondo or someone. Give him enough so he can't just blow past you but if he pulls up from 3, you might be able to come in and give him a contest animation which he'll miss more than make. Another thing I do because I find him most dangerous when he's bringing the ball up court. Depending on the SG or who they have in the game, I will double him when he brings it up so they can't run a set play really or he can't just attack. I usually double with someone who isn't in scoring position or someone who just can't shoot from the perimeter.

Bottom line, more times than not hell get his. But for me, I usually worry more about KD because the CPU can't stop him 1v1.

Yeah I had a game against Westbrook where he had 36 points in the first half. Durant was injured and the CPU kept spamming hm in the paint and he kept making basket after basket.

It was an high scoring, the team I was using (Mavs) scored 74 in the first half, the Thunder had around 60. (Thunder's defense was terrible the entire game)

He finished with less than 50 though, because the Mavs were blowing the Thunder out and he did not play much of the 4th quarter.
