Onyx/Ruby Robinson vs Ruby Shaq

got enough to pair on up with onyx yao.. i would prefer shaq but have heard mixed reviews. thoughts?

Shaq has a 78 stamina, he will be out for the count if you don't manage his minutes. The Admiral is a lot better and is more suited to play the PF spot.

It depends on your play style, in the end. Are you a pace and space kinda guy that likes to play frantic defense by baiting passing lanes? Then it's the Admiral no contest.

If you don't care much for a spaced out offense and like to run Swing/Triangle then it's probably Shaq, since you already have Yao for kickouts.

IMO I'd take Onyx/Ruby Admiral over Ruby Shaq just because he can fit into any playstyle and is extremely versatile. He can shoot the mid as well as post up. That really helps if your opponent is adept to making in game changes.

yeah good advice man. i do think the admiral would be a better fit but shaq has always been a personal faviroute of mine in real life.. but have heard lots of negative reviews about him so i might pick up onyx admiral and see how i go with him worst case i can always sell him for shaq

Shaq in the post in this game is a joke. The slightest contact animation will make him cough up the ball and fall over like a gimp.

It is more than just shaq that it happens to. The post game is broken. I have used a ton of the best centers and they get pushed around. Even Wilt and and Hakeem

This. Worst part is the rebounding which has always been a problem in 2K. I had more success rebounding the ball with Gold Joakim Noah than Sapphire Yao, who routinely gets outrebounded by my Onyx Dirk. I kid you not when I tell you that Emerald Anthony Davis (the bane of my existence) once had eight offensive rebounds.... IN THE FIRST QUARTER ALONE AGAINST ME!!! Unbelievable.

I've never had a problem with the Gold version of 94-95 Shaq. I routinely get 12+ rebounds with him, 2-3 blocks per game, and usually double digits in points. I haven't experienced any real issues in the post against other bigs. It's always when I'm posting up guards that I end up missing easy layups.
